Workshop to promote geothermal hybrid energy project communication activities (Project EEA 2024/388116)
In May 29, 2024, at the Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiesti, Ap9 Hall, 9-12 hours, a workshop was held to promote by the Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiesti the project EEA 2019/107379 financed by EEA and Norway Grants and the Prahova County Council. In the project carried out within the Energy Programme in Romania and whose beneficiary was UPG Ploiesti, a hybrid system for energy efficiency using geothermal energy was implemented in the university campus.
The workshop “Efficient thermic installations for modern buildings” was organized by Project Management Team in partnership with management of High School – Liceul Tehnologic “Lazar Edeleanu” Ploiesti.
In the event was attended members of the Project Management Team, professors and high scholars belonging to the Liceul Tehnologic “Lazar Edeleanu” Ploiesti.
The participants had the opportunity to discover the project 2019/107379 recently implemented at Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiesti, which uses a hybrid energy system and energy efficiency based on geothermal energy in several of the campus buildings (Building C and Building E).
First, the project manager, assoc.prof.dr.eng. Gheorghe Brănoiu, presented the stages of the project’s implementation, offered details and examples of the management of such an important project for the local academic community. In addition, Professor Gheorghe Brănoiu highlighted trends in the development of modern energy solutions for modern buildings.
The workshop continued with the explanations of the members of Project Management Team – asist.prof.dr.eng. Alexandra Portoaca, lect.dr.eng. Silvian Suditu, assoc.prof.dr.eng. Gheorghe Brănoiu, on some issues related to the energy efficiency and different types of “green energies” and the need to focus efforts to ensure a sustainable energy future.
